Gender Inclusive Staff Facilities

*BRONZE COMMITMENT Offer gender neutral facilities to staff, including washrooms, change rooms, locker rooms. A minimum of one gender neutral facility must be available during each regular workday.

Why this Commitment?

Everyone deserves equal access to public facilities and spaces such as washrooms, change rooms, and locker rooms. Providing gender neutral spaces to staff and public provides a safe space where people can use facilities without fear of violence or harassment.

Providing gender neutral uniforms shows that a business does not make assumptions about gender and treats staff equally.

Evaluation Plan

In early December 2023, we will ask you if you’ve completed this commitment and provide a list of businesses who indicate they have to the Bow Valley Pride Network. Bow Valley Pride Network volunteers will visit your business to verify completion of this commitment.
