Why this Commitment?
Everyone deserves equal access to public facilities and spaces such as washrooms, change rooms, and locker rooms. Providing gender neutral spaces to staff and public provides a safe space where people can use facilities without fear of violence or harassment.
Evaluation Plan
To complete this commitment, ensure that a minimum of one gender neutral facility is available during each regular workday at each participating work site you wish to be recognized as a 2024 Workplace Inclusion Champion. (Ex. If your organization manages multiple hotel properties, each property must have at least one gender neutral facility.)
For the purposes of this commitment, gender neutral facilities can include permanent washroom(s), change room(s), or locker room(s).
Please see the Washroom Signage Guidelines in Resources for examples of preferred, acceptable, and unacceptable washroom signage options.
To be recognized for this commitment, email photo(s) of facility signage and locations (photos should indicate how staff can access the facility/facilities) no later than December 31, 2024, to:
Canmore, Kananaskis, and MD of Bighorn signatories: inclusivity@canmorepride.ca
