Why this Commitment?
The Workplace Inclusion Charter’s success is thanks in large part to employer partners whose insights help ensure the program is both actionable and impactful. Many employers have used WIC commitments as a jumping off point for additional diversity, equity, and inclusion work. Several, have invested significant time developing tools, procedures, and policies that meet or exceed WIC commitment standards.
This commitment recognizes those Workplace Inclusion Champions who share these helpful resources and lessons learned to help other employers implement the WIC, as well as those whose consultation helps develop and improve the WIC program.
Workplace Inclusion Charter Working Group members who consulted on the creation of the 2023 WIC have completed this commitment.
Returning WIC signatories can complete this commitment by mentoring one or more new signatories.
First time WIC signatories can contribute by participating in a special WIC 2023 debrief for new signatories.
Evaluation Plan
In January 2024, we will:
Compile a list of organizations who were actively represented in the 2023 Workplace Inclusion Charter Working Group
Ask returning signatories which new signatories they mentored or shared resources with. We will contact the named individuals for a testimonial or confirmation that mentorship took place.
Invite first time signatories to a 1-2 hour debrief (program evaluation) meeting for new signatories.
Active participants in the 2023 working group, mentorship program, or Debrief for New Signatories will be recognized for completion of this commitment.
Resources
To connect with other WIC 2023 signatories, join the 2023 Workplace Inclusion Charter Signatories Group on Basecamp. All signatories will be sent a personal invitation with instructions on how to sign up and use the platform.
