Why this Commitment?
Congratulations! As a signatory of the 2023 Bow Valley Workplace Inclusion Charter, your organization has joined a growing list of workplace inclusion leaders in the Bow Valley and beyond.
To succeed in your next steps, you’ll need the support of all levels of our your organization.
All-staff Memo: Sending a memo to all staff will help to signal that your organization is serious about its 2023 WIC commitments, and who to contact if a staff member has questions about the charter or specific commitments. It also helps team members know they have the organization’s support as they work to implement actions. By clearly stating your commitment, it reminds your team of why your organization is such a fantastic place to work!
Of course, we also encourage you to share the news with your customers, prospective employees, and the world. Throughout the 2023 Workplace Inclusion Charter period, during the evaluation phase, and when we celebrate Workplace Inclusion Champions in January 2024, we’ll share tools and resources with you to help celebrate and share your commitment to workplace inclusion.
Evaluation Plan
In January 2024, we will ask to see documentation of the internal memo or announcement you shared with your team. The memo or announcement must:
Have been made within 30 days of signing the WIC Declaration of Commitment

Include an internal contact for team members to connect with if they have questions about the Workplace Inclusion Charter or how to take action on specific commitments.
