Why This Commitment?
Point-in-time staffing profiles give immigrant-serving agencies a clearer picture of how they can support your organization’s inclusion goals. When you send your staffing profile, Settlement Services in the Bow Valley will follow up to offer tailored support to your team. The information you submit will also be shared with Foreign Worker Support, who provide free, confidential support for work permit holders in the Bow Valley.
This information also helps other BVIP partners support the changing integration needs of our community. Since employment is a key driver of immigration in the Bow Valley and census data is a lagging indicator of trends, completing this commitment helps us identify and respond to settlement needs, such as demand for new classes or services.
Evaluation Plan
At least once before December 31, 2024, provide Settlement Services in the Bow Valley with a point-in-time staffing profile for your organization using the worksheet, the form provided below in the resources section, or your own document that includes all of the following information:
number of foreign workers employed at your organization
top 5 or more countries of origin for team members who are foreign workers, with numbers for each region (ex. “Chile: 10, Australia: 12” etc.)
number of Permanent Residents of Canada employed at your organization
top 5 or more countries of origin for team members who are Permanent Residents of Canada, with numbers for each region (ex. “Philippines: 20, UK: 10” etc.)
In January, we’ll ask Settlement Services in the Bow Valley for a list of organizations who submitted a staffing profile prior to December 31, 2024. If your organization is on the list, you will receive credit for this commitment.
