Accessibility - Commitment 11
The Commitment:
Complete the Inclusive Hiring Checklist and report findings of that evaluation including any planned changes to Vecova Centre for All Abilities.
Why This Commitment?
Commitments 11 & 15 are designed to help your organization understand its strengths and weaknesses when it comes to inclusive recruitment and hiring.
Vecova Centre for All Abilities is a registered charity with expertise in accessibility and workplace inclusion and an active presence in the Bow Valley. Your completed checklist and action plan will be kept in confidence by Vecova, but they’ll use the information to offer no-obligation support on any priorities or needs the checklist may have identified.
How To Complete This Commitment (Evaluation Plan)
Please send your completed Inclusive Hiring Checklist by email to the below contacts by September 30th, 2022:
To: Carolyn Long <clong@vecova.ca>
CC: Jennifer McColl <jmccoll@vecova.ca>
Subject: Inclusive Hiring Checklist for Workplace Inclusion Charter 2022
This may be a starting point for a broader Accessibility strategy for your company, so we strongly encourage you to meet with Vecova before completing and submitting the checklist. To arrange a meeting, please contact Carolyn Long (She/Her), Wellness Services Manager, Wayfinder: Email: clong@vecova.ca or phone: (403) 284-1121
We’ll ask Vecova to provide a list of organizations that provided a completed Inclusive Hiring Checklist by September 30th, 2022.
Vecova will not share any details about your completed checklist with the Bow Valley Immigration Partnership (BVIP) — they will just tell us whether or not you completed this commitment.
